I am most chagrined to see my name in a post, associated with jelly! Is this some kind of remark on my zaftzig figure?????

Okay sky & lvmh, you two be nice. Whichever one of you gets there first, make sure you leave some for the other to buy. Send my regards to Luca & Roberto.

Most importantly, keep repeating: black/red/turquoise = mizz eve, black/red/turquoise = mizz eve, black/red/turquoise = mizz eve, black/red/turquoise = mizz eve, black/red/turquoise = mizz eve, black/red/turquoise = mizz eve, black/red/turquoise = mizz eve, black/red/turquoise = mizz eve,

i'll be there for a few days beginning oct 19...perhaps i'll bump into you in the market while scouting jelly kellys and other fun items.

for those who are interested in the legal battle over them and other kelly and birkin knockoffs, there was an article in the NY Times about it a couple months ago. you can access the text of the article at http://www.tlsmarketing.com/blog/nyt%5Chermes_bag_1.htm

Scarlett - it looks like we "hang" in the same neighborhood - I check out most of the street vendors up and down Madison and Third.

And so often I've met "ladies who lunch" out on a scavenger hunt for "copies" - even they get bored with their original designer bags after a few months.

I guess when we return to Florence, my wife will have to put her bling bling in a jelly kelly.

Hi all. Just returned from my fabeaux vacation, and am pleased to report there are literally thousands of jelly kellys to be had in Florence. I found my yellow one in the outdoor market next to the Uffizi for only 45 euros. But, for those unable to make it to Florence, I spotted them the week before I left in a store on 3rd @ 75th in NYC. I can't remember the name of the store but it definitely had an Italian name. I will be crossing town to that neighborhood again this weekend and will keep a lookout for the store and will see if I can get some deets as to name, location, digits, etc. for those who live outside the city and want a piece of the jelly kelly action. Until next week...

Has anyone seen them turn up in Paris markets for a resonable price?

lvmh, I've seen them everywhere around the city. From shops to street vendors. They're now in winter colors like grey, cranberry etc. but those colors are more opaque. The street vendor (around 64th & Madison) wanted $125 for the smallest one though.

I have found a friend of the family who buys them directly from Italy and sells them in the US (I guess mainly in Los Angeles) . I am not sure about prices, But I could find out. I am on my way over to make a purchase myself. He told me he has a great collection of colors available. So if anyone is intersted email me. [email protected]

Oh please. You do not sell the "original" Jelly Kelly. You have simply "applied" to trademark the name, which is not likely to be approved since Hermes is litigating with anyone trying to use that name. In addition, you can't even get VERO protection on Ebay due to Hermes' litigation policy.

There really isn't any such thing as an "original" Jelly Kelly because it is really just a lowbrow knock off the Hermes Kelly bag. The Jelly Kelly itself has been knocked off. They've been manufactured by the thousands all last year in Italy and now are being copied in Korea.

These "jelly kelly" bags are being sold EVERYWHERE from Bloomingdales to Canal St. and several internet sites.

Now I'm going to have your post pulled because it's unauthorized advertising.

When the bags show up at T.J. Maxx ($70) I know the trend is over.

Who would spend the low T.J. Maxx price of $70 or a PLASTIC handbag? There were some lovely leather handbags at the store for less than half the cost of the jelly.
