The Relais St Germain is our favorite Paris hotel. It is very pricy but we get a room with a sitting area. That is good because my husband is an insomniac. We have only stayed in one room there even though we have stayed there three times. We don't think it is faded at all. I think that given the new owners and their emphasis on the hotel any shabbiness will be attended to.
