Itinerary help- Portugal-Spain-Amsterdam?
Always look to Fodorites for help...flying into Lisbon Nov 3 until the 5th and would like to go to Seville, Madrid, Barcelona and fly out of Amsterdam on the 16th. Really could use some advice what order to do it in and how many nights in each. Love to eat and explore and not necessarily in museums or cathedrals all day.
Love to write trip reports and will be happy to reciprocate upon our return.
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!

In Sevilla, get lost in the local atmosphere Triana district, plenty of great tapas bars here: http://azahar-sevilla.com/sevilletap...urants/triana/
In Madrid, you'll find several excellent places in and around Calle Menorca, just east of the Retiro park: http://www.yelp.com/search?find_desc...adrid%2C+Spain
In Barcelona, go tapas hopping in Poble Sec or make reservations in one or more of the sensational Adria places close by (Tickets, Bodega 1900, Pakta etc):

This all sounds like good advice. Those threads are great! Should we skip Seville?
Nov 3- 5 Lisbon
Nov 6-8 Madrid
Nov 9 ? Seville
Nov 10-12 Barcelona
Nov 13 -15 Amsterdam
Nov 16 - fly out
How does this seem? Seems like a lot of travel time to go south to Seville? Could we do a day trip from any of these points?
I have only booked the first 2 nights in Lisbon and the arrival and departure flights from the states.
Thanks for the help !!!

I must admit that this trip sounds unpleasantly rushed to me -- but it depends on what YOU want to see and experience. I recommend that you get some good guidebooks (always a worthy investment, IME, or spend some time with a few in your local library), identify the things you most want to see in each location, note their opening/closing times, and mark them on a calendar. Then pencil in your transportation, add some time on either side (for getting to/from your lodging, checking in/out, packing/unpacking, getting oriented, etc.). Then see how things fit together.
Good luck!

I agree with Kja. Remember you will lose at least 1/2 day every time you change cities. I would skip Sevilla and I would skip either Madrid or Barcelona depending on your interests. They are all worth at least a week and to rush it would be to miss it.
