Itinerary Help- Dubrovnik, Hvar, Split, Zagreb

Hi Everyone,

My boyfriend and I are looking for travel advice on our upcoming trip to Croatia in August. We are both 30 and our interests include exploring, boating, good food, wine tours and beaches. We also like to be around people, in a lively environment, and not secluded.

The main things we need help on is accommodation location and also transportation.
We have come up with our rough itinerary below and are looking for your help

We fly from Toronto to Dubrovnik and are looking to spend 3 nights here in Dubrovnik. Where is the ideal location? We have been looking into some VRBO/AIR BNB locations vs hotels.
We then plan to move on to Hvar and are looking for advice on how best to get to Hvar (is this by ferry?) and also best places to stay. We have 6 days to spend in Hvar or Hvar & Split combined.
From Hvar we need to somehow get to Zagreb as we fly out of Zagreb. Should we spend some time in Split and then fly from Split to Zagreb?
We are spending our last 2 nights in Zagreb before we fly back home to Toronto.

Thanks in advance for reading my post and I look forward to hearing back from you!
Amanda

Split is my favorite city in Croatia, so I'd spend some time there -- but your interests might be quite different than mine.

You might consider stopping in the Plitvice Lakes National Park between Split and Zagreb.

Thanks Kja.

I just booked 2 nights in Split.
Would you have any recommendations for Dubrovnik accommodations?

Thanks in advance,
Amanda

It's a bit quirky, but you might look at the Villa Adriatica.
