Susan, I thought maybe you were considering RS again, but you are right that 2 weeks combined with your England part would be very long.
We are starting to lean away from the tour idea. We are just so use to independent travel and, altho we have been lucky so far with our Poland tour and river cruise/tour, I hate being on somebody else's schedule. There are definite pros but also some cons that I am having trouble dealing with.

Betty -- I know exactly what those cons are. The pros aren't strong enough for me to go on another tour any time soon. I'm not saying I never will again. I just prefer being on my own. The only reason I considered a tour of Ireland only is the narrow roads I keep hearing about. However, after driving around England for 4 weeks, I think I will be seasoned enough to take on Ireland in the future (different trip).

Hi again Susan, Now that you are considering a driving trip to Ireland as a future possibility, I was wondering if you followed GREEN DRAGON’S great trip report about her solo jaunt to Ireland a few months ago.
Also includes great pics. Of course, from what she says, she is not a first timer to driving in Ireland. I enjoyed reading about her encounters with the local folks in pubs and on the road.
