Barb, Please take Eiffel, we need more adventures to read about! I'm adventuring to Italy with husband and 3 daughters in June 10-24. Rome 4 nights, Sorrento 3 nights, Florence 4 nights, Venice 3 nights. The girls are so excited,(Mom, can we take 14 outfits to wear or do we have to do laundry?), and I can't wait either. Still working on Rome lodging, have others pretty well set.

My wife and I will be flying to Bologna, via London, around June 20 and returning about 2 weeks later from Zurich. We have not made specific plans yet, but expect to explore parts of Le Marche, then the Dolomites before heading into Switzerland for the last couple of days.
Our Italy trips so far have focused on Tuscany, with a little time in Rome and Umbria, and we are looking forward to seeing other regions.

April to May. Roughly 10 days in Sardinia, a week in Corsica (am I allowed to mention that since it's not Italy?), and a few days in Rome at each end of the trip.
I'm happy to say that my travelling companion, and not I, will be doing the driving on the twisting mountain roads. I'll be navigating and wincing.

You beat me by just a few days! We land in Rome January 19th.
As many of you know, this trip has been delayed so many times. Most recently our October trip was postponed because of Katrina damage. But that just made the waiting all the sweeter.
We'll hit Florence and Venice, and then on to Paris for a week. We are blessed!

Venice, Florence, Milan, Rome for almost 4 weeks starting mid March. All booked except still looking to replace Venice hotel with apartment.
With so many people heading to Italy, I sure hope all the gelato isn't gone by the time I get there!!
Happy travels, y'all!

Haven't booked anything yet but we usually always go in June (immediately before the Scottish schools break up !); and, if we can manage it, also in September (immediately after the English schools go back + after the Edinburgh festivals). Byt my DH may try to twist my arm to go in May instead of June so he can watch the World Cup

Sicily in April for two weeks! Flights booked but need to get on the ball to reserve hotel rooms. We will be there during Easter week and I am afraid it will be crowded. Going to try and hit the Aleoian (sp?) islands too.

Making my first trip to Florence, Tuscany (still trying to decide exactly where, other than Pisa and a spa somewhere -- any suggestions?) and ending up with two days in Venice. Going June 8 (first to Paris for a couple of days for my birthday) then train to Florence on the 11th for a week's travel.
I'm so confused as to where to stay, there will be five of us "girls." Suggestions for Florence and Venice hotels?
Thanks, y'all and Bon Voyage to all ...
