Tra6-Thank you so much for your report! I'm so glad that I came across it--my husband and I (late 20s) are doing practically the same trip in July (we leave June 30--I can't wait!) Our first stop, in fact, is Venice and we're staying at La Calcina! I really appreciated your restaurant recommendations, your photos, and all your other pieces of advice. I know it's going to be hot in Italy during our trip, but I'm also in academics (just finished Ph.D. and am starting a professor position in fall) so like you I have to take advantage of my summer vacations!

Thanks again for your trip review--it's been so helpful! As I mentioned in my previous post, my husband and I are doing a very similar trip in July (in fact, when I read the beginning part of your trip report about you being 28, a teacher, and a bit neurotic when it comes to trip planning, I would have sworn that you were talking about me Anyways, I have a few specific questions about your itinerary and hotels that I was hoping you could answer--would it be OK to email you with these?
