I need hotel advice for my below schedule, hotel should be in area where I can park my car without entering restricted zones (ZTL - i guess) and then can take a cab or train to city center:
Budget - Euro 100-130

1. Venice - 1 night
2. Florence - 2 nights
3. Milan - 2 nights

Your suggestions for nearby areas of interest are welcome.

Is there a reason for having a car? It would be easiest to just take the train for this schedule.

I know trains are most preferable mode of transport in Italy. The reason for taking car is I am on business visit in Carpi and Druento locations with no good train connectivity.
Schedule will be
Venice to Carpi
Carpi to Florence
Florence to Druento
Druento Milan

Do you think I can cover other locations by train?

You can;t take a car to Capri - it;s an island. And in Venice there are no streets - only canals - so no buses or cabs - only boats.

I know noting about druento - but a car is more trouble than it's worth - or not possible - in any of the other places.

Gotcha! I am not familiar with those places! So you will be picking up the car when you leave Venice?

I think he means CARPI in Emilia Romagna...not CAPRI the island...

I know guys, not locations most of you chose for vacations, but my trip is more business less personal.

Yes, I will rent the car while leaving Venice and will give it back after reaching Milan.
I mean Carpi, Emilia-Romagna (Modena district) - 180 kms from Venice.

I can take hotel near airport in Venice and same for Milan.
