Italy: going rate for flights for April 06?
Having a very difficult time finding anything under $1,200 to Italy (Rome or Florence) for April 8 - 14. Anyone finding any good deals out there and through which carriers?? I'm wondering if I shouldn't wait any longer to book or if I should continue to hold out hope.
Thanks-
Kellie

That may be because it is so close to Easter.
Where are you flying from?
I am flying April 1 - April 11, for $685.00, from NYC, which I booked two weeks ago. I checked the same dates again today and they are up to $800.00.

try different arrival and departure cities.
i had $550 round trip to naples from NYC.
got it down to $451 by flying into milan and returning from naples. AA all the way except the NAP - London branch, which is british airways.
March 8-20.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to this thread.
In answer to mvs, I am flying non-stop to Rome, I booked directly on Delta's website. I haven't done that in years, but they had a cheaper price than Orbitz, Travelocity and Expedia on that partcular day.
I am pretty happy I booked that day. I have been checking and the prices for the same flights, same days has been steadily rising. There are still great deals, however, if you are willing to make one stop.
