Italian Alps - Lake Como

Hi

We staying just north of Lake Como in Cadenabbia (Griante)on the lake front, facing Bellagio.

Is there anywhere in that area where we can get a lift to the top of a mountain to watch skiers go down.

We will be there next week with two teens and have a car rental.
My wife and I did this in Switzerland
20 years ago and it was just breath taking and no crowds.

Thanks tc

To my knowledge, the only summer skiing would be on one or two of the glaciers in Switzerland. Probably a half day's travel from Lake Como.

Just returned from Tremezzo where we walked to the ferry stop at Cadenabbia. Had on shorts and spent the afternoon at the pool watching boaters go by. Sorry no snow! This is a summer resort town.

There are ski lifts in a few areas on the eastern side of the lake, but, as others have mentioned, there is no glacier snow in the Lake Como area.

What hotel are you staying at. I'm looking at different options in the Menaggio area/side of the lake.
