Like sf7307 we stayed in the Eternity Hotel on our last visit to Istanbul in mid-May. Got a good laugh out of my surprise when their confirmation appeared in my e-mail in-box as "Your Reservation at the Eternity Hotel" Just sounded kind of ominous. We found the hotel quite nice (though the lack of an elevator for anyone with bad knees and a room on the 3rd floor could be a deal breaker) and the view of the Sea of Marmara from our private balcony on the top floor really wonderful. One word of warning to light sleepers. The call to prayer at the small mosque across the street starts sometime around 5 a.m. Otherwise the place is very nice and its location on a fun street with lots of good restaurants makes it even better. The ever popular Empress Zoe hotel is just a couple of buildings away and it's not far from the back entrance to the Haiga Sophia. Well located, though a bit hilly. We would definitely stay again if they ever get an elevator.

Thanks for the review sf7307!

What a coincidence....we have also been considering the Eternity Boutique Hotel and the Neorion Hotel as our other choices.

Yes, the call to prayer did wake us most nights, but only for 2-3 minutes and we were right back to sleep!

Julie, we gave our son and DIL the room on the third floor with the balcony and we took the room on the second floor without the balcony, so we could avoid the extra steps!
