Is this Italy itinerary crazy?

You can't post photos on Fodors -- and I don't have a website. But you can probably find links to bundle packing demos. Lots of people do it.
Basically it is just as charnees explained -- except you can divide everything in 2 if you are doing one night stands

Check out packing cubes. I discovered them several years ago and they make packing and unpacking easier, as well as keep my things perfectly organized.
When I arrive at a hotel, I unpack the cubes and put them in the dresser drawers. I unzip them and pull as I need items. To pack again, I just zip up, toss in the suitcase and go.
I use a cube for lingerie, one for bottoms, one for tops and a small one for miscellaneous (gloves, belts, scarves).
After trying many methods over years of traveling, I would never pack without them. I've converted family and friends as well.

Hi suse,
The two things that worked the best for us on our three month trip last year were packing cubes and a tiny spray water bottle. Just spritz the clothes you want to wear the next morning before going to bed, shake the garment and hang to dry until morning. No wrinkles. We brought a small travel iron, never ever again. Live and learn.
I absolutely love the cubes. I would roll tops and put in one and then just lift the cube out to access what is below in the suitcase. Socks, underwear in one. Sweaters in another. Very easy and designed to fit perfectly into a carry on.
Happy packing,
Michele

I just posted a trip report....we did 12 days with 1 carry-on each (and I run so I had to bring extra shoes & workout clothes). We ended up doing laundry twice in the hotel room. I've now successfully converted my husband and he refuses to travel with anything more than a carry-on. I have an upcoming 7 day cruise (where I tend to pack more) so it'll be interesting to see how I do!
We're also doing 12-14 days next spring and are set on only having a carry-on!
