Hey guys,
When it comes to finding out info about an airport, ie number of terminals, train connections to the city centre, taxi estimates etc
Is there a particular website to visit that has all this info, do you tend to just visit the particular airports website for info?
I recently used Ebookers and they had some info which is similar to the info Im talking about,
For example Heathrow airport: https://www.ebookers.com/lp/airports...athrow-airport
But it would be good to know if there was one site I could go to for this information. If not maybe I could build one if you think its a good idea!

Sure, there are several. No point in building another one. But sometimes they're not up to date, so I go to the official website anyway. And as for transit connections- that's best found on unofficial tourist pages anyway.
There's not all that much info you really need to know ahead of time anyway. There are clear signs at every airport I've been to, and who plans things like food and shopping ahead of time?

In addition to looking an airport website itself, I like to ask people on FlyerTalk forum for tips.
I travel a lot, and often use airports for eating and shopping, so knowing what's available is helpful. Also knowing distances between security and gates is helfpul to me. Etc.

I'm with frencharmoire - start by googling the city name of the airport (by doing that you often discover an alternate airport near a city, one you didn't know and that can become useful in your planning).
Flyertalk as a secondary resource is a good idea
Google maps, with street view and satellite view, can also help with getting the lay of the land right.

Haha I am not advertising them just wanted to provide an example of what I was discussing.
Appreciate the feedback though guys. I think you are right regarding the updated information on the airport specific site as other information is likely to become outdated very quickly.
Will check out flyertalk also!
