Visa cards are widely accepted throughout Europe. I've used mine on many occassions in Germany & Italy & it always been accepted. Regarding France the majority of bank cards there include a chip unlike US cards the majority of which just have a magnetic strip. I've never had a problem using a card in France without a chip but the following may be useful to print out 7 bring with you just in case:<BR><BR>Les cartes de cr&eacute;dit de la &lt;Your Banks name&gt; ne sont pas des cartes &agrave; puce, mais &agrave; pistes magn&eacute;tiques. Ma carte est valable et je vous serais reconnaissant(e) d'en demander la confirmation aupr&egrave;s de votre banque ou de votre centre de traitement.<BR><BR>&lt;Your Banks name&gt; credit cards do not contain microchips, but have magnetic stripes. My card is valid and I would be grateful if you would request authorisation from your Bank or processing centre.<BR>
