I have to admit, I'M HOOKED!!! It all started when I decided to go to Italy next year and needed some opinions on hotels, luggage, train travel.... Now I can't seem to go a day without checking these posts. I really enjoy having all this info at my fingertips, especially at work..
Thanks for all the feedbacks....

ira, you goofball, I said "intervention" not "convention". You know, where they put you in a room and try to deprogram you? Come to think of it, I really like the convention idea a lot better.
Faina, YES! SF is the perfect place, because we are both here. (And so is PCH, apparently)

Personally, I must check Fodor's a couple of times a day. It is really an illness, you know. I'm not responsible!
Seriously, I am truly thankful for all the help I have gotten from this forum. I think travel helps all of us to understand other people and cultures and, hopefully, be more loving and tolerant. Thank you, Fodors!

Confessions of a Fodorite:
Guilty. I'm glad I'm not the only one in over my head. My DH went to bed the other night leaving a note on the bathroom counter that said, "My wife left me for the internet." It will be awhile before I actually get to go, so for now, I go vicariously through you! Recently, I did share your pre-trip excitement.... all the way to the theater to see La Divorce. I couldn't wait to see Paris! My day is punctuated with Fodor check-ups. If I had a job, I'd probably be in trouble by now. I, too, can read your comments for hours. I have always railed against the dangers of chat rooms and talking to strangers on the internet, and make sure my teens don't do it. And, here I am. My family thinks I'm nutty for my passion here. I tell them it's legit, comprised of nice people who are sophisticated traveler's who are generous enough to share a wealth of info that we can all benefit from. They say, "Oh, sure..." However, they do enjoy the funny stories I recite to them.

Completely addicted!
My husband (or DH, as we Fodorites like to say)is also wondering what I'm up to. I tell him I'm just planning for our upcoming trip but I find that I'm now reading all the different boards, not just Europe.
I love reading about everyone's travel experiences and perspectives, good and bad, and I, too, have gotten lots of valuable info here.
And yes, let's do the intervention/convention in S.F. - I would love to meet all my NorCal Fodorite neighbors.

When my wife asks me what I'm doing so long at the computer, I answer back that I am corresponding with my mistress.
She always sighs, and as she walks away she says with a shrug, "Oh, you're on the Fodors Board again."
