Irelands Shannon Region (Information leflets request)
Does anyone have any or know the source of any hard copy information leaflets from the old "Irelands Shannon Region". This was taken over by Failte Ireland back in June? All the web based stuff, even the facebook page has gone and lets face it FI's interests fall far from promoting the area in such a clear, informed and informative fashion.
Might be a winter project for me (or someone else?) if enough of the old stuff can be salvaged. My bookmarks are gone along with much of my memory even to the extent of the outer boundaries in Limerick, Tipperary, Offaly, and Galway, pretty sure most of Clare was included.

GD, Corey has an interest in the Shannon Region being in it as I am, we are either side of Lough Derg right in the heart of things as it were.
BigRuss. Fail Ireland have taken over just about all the localised tourist regions and wasted just about every resource contained in them. Where folk could type in "Shannon Region" before now all that remains is the Shannon Trails web page everything else at best directs you to "Discover Ireland" even asking FI for information they happily direct you to the DI (duff information?) site.
Fortunately for those wanting information on the non Dublin, Galway, Killarney, Dingle, Doolin, Kinsale areas there are a few decent forums.

Tony,
Sorry, I do not have a link to old FI Shannon area info.
However, I am attaching the link to the Irish Expert's Shannon area information - might help you with some of the links. Mrs. Preston passed away in May, 2011, so this page is a little outdated, but some of the info might be helpful.
