Help with first trip to Ireland
Arriving in Belfast and returning from Shannon with only 9 days to do the sights
taking a day or two in around belfast
and a few days around Shannon
What would you short list of must see places on the way
Thanks

There are many, many posts and trip reports on these boards that will help you. I suggest taking a look at those (just search for "Ireland", or Shannon, Belfast, etc) and then decide what sounds interesting to you, as you know your interests best. Then come back with specific questions.

You have a lot of options but dont try to take on too much in 9 days.
From Belfast you could choose to go north then west and then south to Shannon: The highlights on this route would be - Antrim Coast, Bushmills Distillery, Giants Causeway, Carrick-a-rede Bridge: Then across to Derry - Donegal - south to Sligo and south to Galway/Connemara - Clare and Shannon.
Another option would be south from Belfast to Dublin; then south to Cork/Kerry - up on ferry from Tarbert to Kilimer - to Clare - Cliffs of Moher , Burren - Bunratty - Shannon.

Hi Irishpat,
If you are anywhere near Ennis, Co. Clare from 17th to 25th May you should check out the Fleadh Nua Traditional Music Festival. See www.fleadhnua.com for details
Enjoy your holiday.
