Hey, everyone! Thanks so much for your suggestions. I just got back on Saturday night - can we say JETLAG?!

As it turns out, meals were much more expensive than I had imagined or planned! That, and the fact that so many places seem not to serve food between 3 and 6 p.m. - the time when I'm hungry again, after having filled up on a big breakfast. For the most part, I got sandwiches from the supermarkets.

Anyway, I didn't come away with any great recommendations to add to yours - but thank you all so much!

I'll be posting my trip report soon - as soon as I can keep my eyes open again, that is!

Thanks, all!

Hi Betseypaige....the Berry Lodge was fine. It's the childhood home of the owner & after retiring from teaching in Ennis, she moved home, remodeled & opened it as a B&B and a cooking school. She runs a restaurant there too. She was delightful & the food was very good. The room was clean & comfortable but the bathroom was miniscule.

Ah yes, the food! We had some great meals in Ireland. And the seafood chowder, soda bread and Guiness for lunch everyday was addicting!!

Have a wonderful trip!

Hi Tennischick

Thanks!

I don't mind the bathroom being tiny because I don't spend a lot of time in there (I'm not one to fuss with makeup, etc...) and I'll only be there one night. The fact that the owner lived there just makes it seem so much more homey.....

As for the Guiness every day, I hope that it's a lot better than the beer at home, which I hate. However, living off of fresh seafood and brown bread is ok by me. Yum!

Thanks again and I will post my report as soon as I get back...
