Ireland visit or not??

Hi,

I am travelling to Edinburgh and from there I have two days to kill before I need to be in London. I want to put in Ireland but in the short time period that I have is it worth visiting? If so, where?

Thanks!

I would NOT try to jump over the water and back in such a short time. I have been to Ireland and thought about trying to get to Wales for 2 days and decided we couldnt do it justice. So glad we didnt. I gave Ireland two full weeks and previously gave England 2 full wks. and next will see a lot of Scotland by staying at least that long.
Have a good trip.

There are absolutely TONS of wonderful places/things to see around Edinburgh, or between Edinburgh and London.

I am Biased towards Ireland, why not I live here. But if you cant find a better way to spend 2 spare days in or between Scotland and London then its a poor do as they say in the north of England.
