3 weeks - English, Scotland, Ireland - possible

I have three weeks next fall -is it possible, or feasible to do one week in England, Scotland and Ireland. I realize I will certainly not get to see a lot in each country, maybe just London, Edinburgh and Dublin, but maybe just an overview for my next trip. Has anyone made this type of trip - any info greatly appreciated.

Joey... we took a three week trip which became the overview for our next trips. I don't know anything about London. We made an S curve trip around the SW of Scotland and the Northern Coast of Ireland with a straight shot from Donegal to Dublin. Edinburgh and moving west into Ireland is grand. I suggest you stay in Scotland as long as possible. We visited Northern Ireland and loved the Glens of Antrim. Donegal was fun, because there were folks visiting from NI who were there to dance. We enjoyed Caval because we met folks who played the spoons to trad music whilst eating their meal. Every place you visit will bring you great memories. Have a grand time!

You'd get an overview, Joey. Quite a good thing to do. You might want to restrict how much you travel WITHIN each country.

Topping for Joey... be sure to take some time in Edinburgh, remembering that it will be the first. The National Museum in Dublin is not to be missed. We love Galloway in Scotland and Antrim Northern Ireland. Oh what a fun time!

We have been to England a number of times, but on trip we went to Ireland first for a week, flew to Scotland, and drove down to London in about three weeks.

Had a great time. Of course, you could spend much, much longer in any of the three, but it is a good enough time to get a feel.

Get a fly-drive, where you get a voucher at bed and breakfast places and a car and have a great time.
