I'm a bit confused about entry to Napoleon's Tomb... Is it free, or do you have to pay 7 euro to get access to it, plus access to Musee de l'Armee and Plans-Reliefs? And if it isn't free, does the Museum Pass cover it? Thanks!

The army museums are free; the tomb proper requires either money or the Carte Musée.

The Musée de l'Armée cost about €6 when I visited a few years ago and was well worth it if you have any interest in European warfare, especially Napoleon.

the tomb is in a churchlike building beside the invalides. invalides is a big square building with a courtyard in the middle.

each side of the courtyard is a different museum. some of the museums were closed last summer (wwi) but wwii was defeinately open.

I really enjoyed that army museum, and I don't usually like that kind of stuff. That re-did the WWII section a couple years ago and it was great, plus the very interesting stuff from older wars. I don't care about Napoleon's tomb, but sometimes they have other exhibits in that same building (they had some paintings from the Hermitage from Russia when I was last there). It was actually one of the more expensive museums, but worth it.

Nothing is free there, unless you are less than 18 yrs. The ticket is 7 euro now and combines the tomb with the museum. It is on the museum pass, though.

We went thru in 1997 and I was also surprised that I liked the Musee de l'Armee - very interesting.

I really enjoyed the Musee de l'Armee when we visited in February,2002. It was when I learned that De Gaulle had liberated Europe.

I did just this three weeks ago. One ticket (I paid 5 euro...Sunday reduced rate, normal is 7 euro) gets you into both sites. I only had about an hour and a half, but that was enough to see the tomb and the WWII portion of the Musee. As earlier stated, the WWII exhibit is relatively new and very good.
