International dail around number
Someone posted a dial around number for international calls on this message board which I wrote down and then promptly lost. If someone could post the number again, I will try not to lose it. Tried doing a search but to no avail. Thank you.

I use 10 10 636 to call the UK and I have been very satisfied--10 cents per minute Their customer service no is 1 800 279 7412 I also have used 10 10 811, which has even better rates than 636 for Italy and France cust service is 1 800 270 5084 A third one is 10 16 868 I have this in my phone file, but haven't used it. Call 1 888 660 5377 for rates and info. These dial around numbers are so much cheaper than regular long distance rates and they don't charge a $5.95 per month service charge like MCI and Sprint. They bill me in my regular monthly phone bill.

The best one I have found is 1016868...no fine print like some of them have such as minimum connection costs or monthly fee or fine print like that.<BR><BR>You prefix the call with 1016868. Cost to the UK is 7.9 cents a minute. Cost to France is 10 cents a minute.<BR><BR>If you are looking at an ad in the UK, and the local number in the UK on the letterhead is listed as 020-7555-1212...you would dial:<BR><BR>1016868-011-44-20-7555-1212. On calls from outside the UK, you drop a lead zero in a phone number which you would dial if calling within the UK.<BR><BR>To call France, the country code is 33. You also drop a leading zero in a local phone number. If the call is going to the Paris region, the lead digit would be 1. So you would dial <BR>1016868-011-33-1 followed by the rest of the number. If the merchant advertises the phone number with a lead 0 you drop it.<BR><BR>The one warning is that while 1016868 is very widely available in the US it is not universal. You try it and if it works you have it. You are billed on your local phone bill....
