Interlaken during easter

I was planning a trip to interlaken sometime around 20th april. Is it worth going there during this time? I am getting mixed information from various sites. Some say most of the activities are closed. I dont plan to go to jungfrau...want to focus instead on lauterbrunnen and likes. Howz the scene during this time???

I haven't been there in April but Lauterbrunnen and the surrounding towns will be "open" and are fun to walk around. I think I recall that things can be muddy in April if you plan to hike. We stayed at the Hotel Staubbach in Lauterbrunnen and loved the location. It's only about 20 minutes from Interlaken and closer to Murren, Wengen, etc. I didn't find Interlaken to be very scenic. To read more detail on the area and see photos, go to http://www.fodors.com/community/euro...ember-2010.cfm and scroll down to the sections on Day 2 and Day 3.

Just curious why you don't plan to go to Jungfrau, unless you've been there before. It's pricey but well worth the cost in my book. Lots to do and see.

Hope you get more responses soon from those who have been there in April! Have fun!
