Interesting town plus nearby beach, near Split please

We are looking for a fairly low-key day, as we have a busy week of activities booked.

We are looking, ideally, for an interesting town to walk around (perhaps with a market?), plus a nearby beach.

Weve done Trogir, followed by nearby labadusa beach. Which we loved, it was a good balance of walking around the market and then cooling down on the beach.

Any suggestions of anywhere similar? Ideally not much more than a 30-40 minute drive (we're staying in Kastel Sucurac, just north of Split)

Thanks!!

Have you visited Split? The market there is amazing, and obviously it’s a very interesting place to walk around. And you can go to Bačvice beach after.

Also Firule beach! Maybe a bit less urban.

nice beaches down in Dugi Rat but no town with any major market that I know of. Omiš is there, and is lovely, but not much in a way of a market.

Can't offer suggestions as my trip is next month, but could you share any tips/experiences in Trogir? We are renting a home there for 10 days.

Robert, I cant offer that much help either as we only went to Trogir once. We went to Labadusa beach on ciovo (the island adjacent), which my kids enjoyed as the water was so still and gorgeous. We didnt go to the beaches on the other side (okrug Gornji beach) which I believe are quite popular.

Trogir is well placed to access lots though! We enjoyed Krka park,
