My flight for May 9 out of Nice was just changed to leaving at 7:35am. We will be staying at Hotel D'Arse in Villefranche Sur Mer. I'm told it's not far from the airport but what I'm worried about is turning the rental car and being early enough for our flight back to the US.

Does anyone know what time the airport rental car offices open up for return.

I haven't rented yet but it will most likely be through Avis or Auto Europe who usually uses Avis. Iknow, I can always call the rental companies but for right now I thought I would ask the experts on Fodor's.

The AE site says that the office opens at 0600 every day--it may also have a drop box---ask them.

And the rental car lots are right across the way from the terminal so a very short walk.

There are two terminals. I cannot remember which terminla is close to the rental car return office, but it may be worth checking if you are on a tight schedule.

From what I've heard the rental car offices open at 6am, what time does Nice airport open, is it also 6am

I guess that's the best thing to do is to see if they have a drop off box.

If you arrive Terminal 1 you have to take the bus to Terminal 2 to pickup/drop off rental cars.
