I will be flying out of Burlington VT on a Tuesday. At 6 am. How difficult is it to return car to Budget and then get to the US Air checkin counter? Can you recommend a convenient hotel to stay in the night before?

I don't want to have to leave the hotel at 4 am if I can avoid it. 4:30 0r 4:45 am is preferable.

Can you advise?

The airport is really almost in town. Look on Williston Rd for a place to stay.
Small airport.

Can't give a definite answer, but it isn't a very big airport.

Will the rental desk even be open at 5:15 or so?

Assuming Budget is located at the airport the car rental return is in the parking garage attached to the terminal. Won't even be a 5 minute walk to the terminal once you drop off the car.

Call and ask Budget if the airport location will be open at that early hour and if not, where to drop off keys.
