Inexpensive Paris restaurants

Any tips for some inexpensive restaurants in Paris?

We will be on our honeymoon but we're on a budget.

Thanks!

Where are you staying? Lots of cheaper places in Paris but you need to specify area -- Paris is huge.

good question. I'm staying near the Louvre although we are interested in seeing different areas of the city.

there are hundreds (thousands really) of inexpensive restaurants in every neighborhood in Paris. My suggestion is you should ask for one or two "splurge-type" restaurants to celebrate your marriage. And then for most of your meals, while you are touring around, just look at the menus posted outside every restaurant and select the ones that fit w/i your budget.

You don't specify what you mean by inexpensive but we very much enjoyed the Cafe Montorgueil on the street and market of the same name. A plus is being in this old Parisian market street with its sights and delights. You can easily have an excellent dinner with wine for under 40 euro total for two. Service was both professional and friendly.

One of the oldest and authentic decor is CHARTIER. Many put down the food but it is fine, not great but an experience for a first timer who is not a gourmet.

Our favorite for very reasonable dining is Hugo's in Place des Vosges in the Marais area. Great setting, great food, friendly service and lots of locals.
