indian restaurant
we will be in london only one night. staying at luna and simone near victoria station. we would like to have an evening meal at a good indian restaurant. willing to take tube to get there. not interested in "fancy" place but good food with moderate prices and comfortable dress. saw good talk about Masala World in Soho. is that a reasonable commute from our hotel. any help appreciated.

I stayed at Luna and Simone in July, and had dinner at Pimlico Tandoori, just down the street. I wandered in there with a friend just before midnight, and they were still open - had a nice meal with a bottle of wine. I don't know Masala World, but Soho is central and easy to get to on the 24 bus.

audere - so where would you recommend for a good Indian meal? Preferably convenient to Victoria station. I'll also be spending one night near there between flights, treating my niece to dinner, and in need of an Indian "fix".

My absolutely favorite Indian restaurant is called Mela located at 152-156 Shaftesbury Avenue
London WC2H 8HL.
They have a reasonable pre theatre menu which offers 3 courses for 10.95 GBP.
I am not sure how close it is to Victoria Station. I'm sure it's a short cab ride away.
