Need a great restaurant near Victoria Station

Hi gang. I have been searching in vain for an old post that recommended some upscale restaurants in the Victoria Station area. I think there were two in particular near Ebury Street.

I am looking for great food and price is no object. Coming in from Gatwick to Victoria for a few hours layover. Coming in only to eat, no sightseeing this time.

Thanks as always!

Once upon a time I found this site and it is fun! Maybe this will help?

Crepes, I can't think of any great places near there. There are 2 restaurants now called Ebury. The Ebury is on Pimlico Rd. I haven't been. It's a gastro pub and has a prix fixe lunch in an upstairs dining room (not good reviews on Hardens). Then there's the Ebury St. Wine bar which is a favorite on Ebury St. It's not fancy though. Santini is an upscale Italian on the street but food is evidently just average. Hardens says La Poule au Pot, also on Ebury st., was voted most romantic rest. in London?

Found this site that lists everything on Ebury St.

Have a look at Roussillon. Good review on Hardens.

Thanks but I am looking for first hand knowledge so I won't waste my one meal on somewhere less than fantastic.

Nobody on this morning?

Thanks mclaurie. I am not familiar with Harden's. Can you give me a website address for it?

The website is:

http://www.hardens.com/

You have to register but it's free to do so.

We've been to Il Convivio on 143 Ebury St. Its a posh Italian, very chic, very good service. Most importantly, our dinner was wonderful. Walking distance from Victoria (we did it in the pouring rain...). The web site for the restaurant (with menu and online booking) is:

search for Westminster/Victoria.

I know Cinnamon Club is supposed to be excellent. HTH
