You know maitaitom, it was one of your videos that made us want to go to Paris (or finally pull the trigger on doing it)!
Belinda, thanks...have read several of Cara Black's murder series books but not this one yet. Love to read anything related to Paris!
I had not seen that post....sometimes when you search on Fodors you don't always use the right search words. Very helpful! Thank you, yestravel.

Great video, Maitaitom! My husband and I will be in Paris for ten nights the first of December. Even more excited now after seeing the video. And, of course, Denisea's trip reports have made a Christmas-time trip to Paris a must-do!
Maitaitom, what is the building with the (horse?) statues coming out the windows at about 0:58 in the video?
And so as not to totally hijack this thread, I agree that both the JA and NdC are wonderful in their own way. The NdC has more to see but the JA has a great little restaurant! Try to see them both if possible.

I've only visited the NdC (of the two) and really enjoyed it. Especially the kitchen. Lots of other interesting stuff to see, and when relating it to the story of the inhabitants, makes it more poignant.
Best of all, it wasn't crowded and I could roam around as leisurely as I wanted.
The gardens are also nice, and the views from the windows, framed in brocade drapes and silk-tassled tie-backs, made for some cool photos.
