While I am not nearly as widely traveled as Ira, my vote is exactly the same.
Our first trip to Paris was in the middle of May, and it was an absolute delight. (Of course, we were told by a resident we met that it had rained every day for two weeks before we got there, so we got lucky and enjoyed perfect weather during our stay).
BUT...if you'd like to finance my free month in Paris I'll gladly go any month you choose!

Floyds Knobs, Indiana - - my hometown - - in June, and everything would be green. Ideally, May would have been unusually rainy, and June would have only Camelot rain, from 3 to 5 am on Sunday mornings.
I love travel, and especially in Europe, but the thought of having a month at home to do the stuff I never get done (because I am always planning a trip to jet off somewhere) sounds like the stuff fantasies are made of!

Best wishes,
Rex

Been there, done that (Paris, I mean) and it was great, although I was working, and I'm not sure I would want to live anywhere without working in some sense (I don't consider that living!)
Tokyo. September.
The quality of life is incredibly high and everything in the city works: It's clean, quiet and safe -- and there are not a lot of tourists! Plus I like sushi.

London in May: garden visiting in the morning, church concerts around lunch time, afternoon free lectrues, South Bank Centre in the evening, walking back across The Thames on Hungerford Footbridge in the night...
Leaves will be gentle green, but London will be most colourful with blooming spring floweres.
