Please help: Italy to Tel Aviv

DD is in Israel now (with Birthright program--AMAZING experience) and after spending 6 months in Italy last year can't stay away. So, she wants to go back for a few weeks in August, but I'm having no luck finding inexpensive transportation options from here on the Internet. She's thinking of maybe stopping in Athens and Delphi (have relatives there), but Italy is the top priority. Please help if you can.

Thank you! (plan to post on Middle East and Airline Board as well)

Hi art,

Is she going from Israel to Italy or Italy to Israel?

Has she looked at ww.mobissimo.com or www.kayak.com.

Thanks Ira, at least I was able to get info on Kayak (can't seem to get thru the other one) and oh is it ever expensive to try to book this from here. She doesn't have Internet access for a few days yet, but once she does, I hope she can find something better. Someone also suggested contacting a local travel agent in Israel, which may be a way to go. I was hoping someone here had done something similiar and could offer alternatives to what I'm coming up with. I remember going from Haifa to Athens very cheaply (but that was many many many years ago.)

There are several last minute and charter flights websites in Israel. They are all in Hebrew, and I could not find an English version.

If your friend speaks Hebrew or has someone who can help her she could try:
www.daka90.co.il or http://dilim.co.il/ .

It's also good to try Alitalia's website www.Alitalia.com . Sometimes there are no charter flights and they're a good option.

A company with relatively low prices is http://www.israir.co.il/ .

Good Luck,
Rachel,
