I Need Help with a location In Venice?

The hotel is Bonvecchiati, located near St Mark's square, will I be centrally located in Venice? If not, could someone tell me what area I need to look for a hotel in?
Itinerary in Venice 15-18 may 03

It's an excellent location. I have stayed there three times. You will find many more good reviews here on this forum.

The only problem with bonvecchiati is that they are aiming to raise their standards, and as a result they are jacking up their rates considerably. Just four years ago, it was about half what it is now.

But not many guests, at least not many from outside Europe, return to Venice a second time - - or so the management there has told me. So, the memory of days when it was a better bargain are generally irrelevant to their clientele.

But what will inevitably come will be resting on their laurels, I fear. Service not keeping up, with the changing wallpaper.

Hopefully, that has not happened yet.

Best wishes,

Rex
If it is reasonably near to San Marcos than it's got to be "central".

& hey, I've been to Venice TWICE (only place in Italy I've been but...)
