Hungary to Prague by boat vs. train
Hi ...
Does anyone know if you can take a hydrofoil from Budapest to Prague?
I know you can take one from Budapest to Vienna... but it's more than 5 hours... and if we're not stopping in Vienna, I wonder if it's worth it to take a boat for that long, and THEN get on a train for another couple of hours to Prague (if there's no boat from Vienna to Prague)
I've taken the hydrofoil from Budapest to Vienna before... and it was great.. so was hoping to do it all the way to Prague this time.. but that doesn't seem to be an option...???
Thanks

No boat that i know of would go from Budapest to Prague except perhaps a boat tour of several days it would seem to have to take, if it is even possible - the quickest way would be Budapest to Prague by train and not via Vienna.

The rivers are connected. From Budapest, you go up the Danube, through a canal to the river Main, down to the Rhine to Duisburg, then across Germany by canal to the Elbe, then up the Elbe into the Czech Republic and finally up the Vltava river into the Czech capital. You might do it in a couple of weeks.
