It's only about a good mile from CS to the Flower Market - straight up Dam thru Dam Square to the canal the Flower Market is on - wide sidewalks - maybe for going back to station - but a van makes eminent sense to me - trains in from Schiphol IME can become very very crowded - SRO in 2nd class at times - if doing train pay extra perhaps for first class.
