Chronological age is 36 (count the rings). Most of the time I feel about 25, then I look in the mirror and realise I've turned into my dad.

Almost always go away for my birthday (november) as it means that hot places are tolerable and cold places not yet intolerable. THis year? Not sure yet either Southern USA or (more likely) the red sea for a diving holiday.
Thanks to everyone who have responded. Based on the information provided, here are the statistics:

Average age: 44.7
Youngest: 24
Oldest: 74

For calculation purposes, I've used the number provided: so if you said "I'll be 15 in November" I've used 15 as your age.
Loved Kavey's quotes.

I'm a little younger than average, turning 44 this December and like Liz (way above), am also beginning to think of where I'd like to celebrate my half century. I wonder if I'll get to experience my lifelong wish of a white Christmas by then.

I was born on November 30, 1955. Kavey, I enjoyed your quotes immensely. I like to think all that work at my gym is keeping me young but I also realize the truth of this quote:

"Unlike modern carry-on travel, it is difficult to lose your baggage as you travel through life."

Well, we can try!

Hey, Beth Anderson, I'm starting to think we have a lot in common -- I turned 35 in June too.

Here is my favorite age-related poem:

WARNING by Jennie Joseph

When I am an old woman I shall wear purple
With a red hat which doesn't go, and doesn't suit me,
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals, and say we've no money for butter.

I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired
And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
And run my stick along the public railings
And make up for the sobriety of my youth.

I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
And pick the flowers in other people's gardens
And learn to spit.

You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat
And eat three pounds of sausages at one go
Or only bread and pickle for a week
And hoard pens and pencils and beermats and things in boxes.

But now we must have clothes to keep us dry
And pay our rent and not swear in the street
And set a good example for the children.
We will have friends to dinner and read the papers.

But maybe I ought to practise a little now?
So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised
When suddenly I am old and start to wear purple.
No age but spent my 41st. anniversary in China last year. This year for the 42nd. we will be going through the Panama Canal. Best time to travel is when you retire from teaching and can go at the last minute anywhere in the world. Forgot, spent my 4oth. in Russia.
