I was born in 49 (that number looks better than my age and never changes). I still have my own teeth and most of my hair(lol). My bride and I are about to celebrate the 30th year of our honeymoon in Prague, Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna and Amsterdam.

I was born to travel, but never have enough time and money. We have traveled to Europe half a dozen times and Asia a couple of times.

People shouldn't put it off until they retire (unless they retire young). There is just too much to see in the world.

Happy travels

Did I post a reply already? I can't remember! I was born during the battle of Stalingrad. (You can look it up).

Dave, was it 1942? Ahhh, the childhood memories of learning! And the stories from people who witnessed!

cigalechanta, people can't relate to age until they reach it. I used to think that 40 was over the hill, then when I reached it I was surprised that I still felt "young".

It is all how you feel mentally IMHO. I know people who act old when they are young. You have a young enthusiastic attitude which gives you spirit and spunk.

... just got over the hill last year and I'm celebrating my birthday March 12th. After the party, we go to Europe - for the first time. God willing, many more to come. 0

I collect Social Security, a pension, and -- along with my faithful traveling companion -- as many stamps on my passport as I can.

We were on our first trip to London when Richard Nixon resigned; we've scheduled our 14th -- or is it 15th -- for October, 2005. Traveling companion will celebrate his 74th while we are there. We've made our way down the Western coast of Europe and have made three trips each to Ireland, Greece and Portugal, and two visits each to France and Denmark.

We never feel younger that when we're traveling (except for the last couple of stairs from the District Line at the Gloucester Road station.)
