How many days needed?

Hi, I will be going to Greece in September for 16 days. I will be covering Athens, Mykonos, Paros Island, Santorini and Crete. Can anyone tell me how many days I should stay in each island? And which places I should hang around longer? I think the weather is still warm in September, but do you think it is warm enough to head to the beach?
THank you in advance.

There is no Greece forum here, only Europe. In order to catch the eye of the greece experts. I'd repost with a better title. Your current post can get "lost".

Don't spend less than 3 or 4 days on any island or you won't receive the full benefit of your experience.

I'd like to spend the rest of my life in Crete, so I'm not a good witness.

The weather will be easily warm enough for the beach.

September is usually a great month to be in Greece.

Let's start with Crete. If you go, you really need to spend a bare minimum of 4-5 days. That gives you an average of about 3 days for each of your other locations. I've always been underwhelmed by Mykonos relative to it's cost: I would instead suggest you take a day trip from Naoussa on Paros to see Delos. I think you can do the same from another wonderful island in the vicinity, Naxos.
