How far is Bari from Positano?

We are spending 4 days in Positano, and then want to rent a car and drive to the 'heel'. We hope to drive around and spend 6 days in 3 different locations. Plan to fly back to Rome via Bari.

The shortest ride from Naples to Bari on the train is 4 hours.

Hi buswife, we one time checked out of our hotel in Capri, went back to Naples to our hotel where we had left extra luggage with them, got our rental car (which we had garaged while we had been on Capri) and drove from Naples to Bari. We arrived at our hotel in time to check into our hotel, shower and change, enjoy some wine and go to dinner. I would imagine that we probably left Naples around noon and arrived in Bari around 5:00pm. Best regards and enjoy your time in Italy.

Bari is hardly the heel. Be sure to get as far south as Lecce if you do go.

Thanks everyone. Yes, I know where Bari is. That is just our first stop in that area.
