How does Rome compare to London or Paris in terms of costs?
There may be any scientific way of gaging this, but is Rome as or more expensive than London, or is it more along the lines of Paris? Maybe you disagree, but I generally feel that Paris is approx. a third less expensive than London. I realize Italy and France both use the Euro, but I don't think that necessarily makes their cost of traveling the same.

I would say that the costs for tourists traveling to/in Rome are more similar to Paris.
It costs a bit more to get TO Rome than to London or Paris from most parts of the United States.
Best wishes,
Rex

Hotels tend to be pricier in Rome than Paris, but the everday costs of eating and shopping are close to, if not a bit cheaper than in Paris, and quite a bit cheaper than London.
Public transit in Rome is quite cheap.

We spend double in London what we do in Paris, but that's mainly due to all the theatre we see in addition to the generally higher costs.
In Rome, we generally spend more on hotels than in Paris, but otherwise I think they price out pretty much the same.
