I had thought about preshipping luggage long before 9-11. I was thinking about a aluminum one-suiter preshipped to the hotel and then back. Assuming a business traveler saves 20 minutes on each end and shipping cost is $10 each way, there might be demand.

I have to think about the rent-a-suit or ensemble idea. But it has merit. The tuxedo rental business seems to work. What if a car rental company approached it as a way to get customer loyalty.

I used to commute to Taipei every few months, and I left several changes of clothes with my trading partner over there (he reserved a bedroom for me). Imagine the Customs officers' questions when I came back from a 2-week trip with no luggage!
