How can get to Crete from Peloponnese

Has anyone taken ferries to Crete's Knossos from the Peloponnese sites? I plan to visit the central and southern Peloponnese sites for 3 nights before doing a trip to Crete in mid-September. My last stop in the Peloponnese is Olympia. How can I leave there for Crete? I hope I would not I go back northward to Patra and then take ferries. Great THANKS in advance!

The only practical way for you to get between Olympia and Knossos is to go back to Athens, then fly or ferry to Heraklion.

It can be done but it will be very time-consuming. There's an infrequent ferry from Gythio in the Peloponnese to Kissamos on Crete, which is near Chania. Then you can take a bus to Heraklion. Knossos is 30 minutes outside of Heraklion.

impossible to visit all important places in Central, Western and Southern Peloponnese in only 3 days. So, what will be your itinerary?

We did a road trip around the Peloponnese in 3 nights, starting and ending in Athens and taking an overnight ferry to Heraklion from there. It worked out very well for us, and we got to see Corinth, Mycenae, Napflio, Mystras, Olympia, and Delphi without feeling like we were rushing or wasting time (I just posted a trip report with the details). I would definitely recommend this route.
