How busy are Italy and France in September?

I plan to travel through France (Paris, Nice) and Italy (Rome, Florence, Venice) in early September. Will these places, and the trains between them, still be over-run with tourists?

But fear not. Just call ahead and ask them all to leave.

Best wishes,

September is still high season in Paris because of the fashion and other shows. I hope you already have your hotel booked.

Hi raindrop,

You are still in season. The weather will be very nice (mostly).

Hi

September is still quite active down here. It is quieter than July / August because most of the schools have restarted.
