Hotels near St. Emilion
We will be leaving our gite on Saturday morning and need to be in Bordeaux the nest day for a 1:40 flight. Logis des Remparts, Hotel Palisance, and Chateau Barril are all full for June 24. Any other suggestions for hotels or chateaux in the area or a diferent town for our overnight stop between Cenac and Bordeaux. How long is the drive from St Emilion area to Bordeaux airport?

Hi P,
We very much liked our stay at http://www.chateau-de-roques.com/accueil_a.htm
It is in Puisseguin, about 1:15 hr from the airport.

Sorry, forgot to post their web site. We ate dinner here but did not stay so cannot comment first hand about the hotel although it is really striking in appearance,as you can see. Designer is Jean Nouvel.

Thanks for your suggestions I will check them out. Ira, is the Chateau du Roques a winery as well? If I can't be in St Emilion I like the idea of staying at one of the wine chateaux. Are any of them hotels as well? I read about one in a thread here a few nights ago but of course I can't find it again!

Probably the most famous winery hotel is in the Medoc, Chateau Cordeillan Bages, a member of Relais & Chateau. If your budget allows, this would be a great place for you to stay; it is close to Pauilliac.
There are other hotels in St, Emiliion aside from the ones you mentioned which are full....have you discounted them for lack of appeal?
