Could someone please recommend a hotel near the st maarten airport?
I have a 8:00 AM flight so I wont be able to catch a boat in time from Anguilla to the
airport in the morning, so I'll have to stay on St Maarten the night before. Any suggestions?

For just a night, take a look at the Royal Turtle. It's about the cheapest place close to the airport (it's just a B&B).

Royal Turtle has a restaurant right there....serving both fish and steak as I recall. Turtle Pier restaurant.

Turtle Pier is just so so and will not appear in the new edition of our guide to St. Maarten in the fall. But there are some other restaurants in the immediate vicinity. I remember a good Italian restaurant around there, but I can't remember the name.
