Hotels in Rome, Florence and Venice

Has anyone stayed at the following hotels in Italy? Parco dei Principi (Rome), Grand Hotel Minerva (Florence), Westin Excelsior (Venice Lido Resort).

I would appreciate hearing about your opinions of these hotels. They are the hotels Tauck uses for their Family tour.

Type in the name of the hotels in the search box, and you'll come up with lots of reviews of those hotels. Also, go to www.tripadvisor.com and you can check the reviews on these hotels.

Thanks, bblount. I did get information on all three hotels on the TripAdvisor website, however, could not get anything on the Westin Excelsior-Venice Lido Resort on this forum. Has anyone stayed there?

Also, has anyone taken the Italia Bella Tauck Tour? Please share your experience with this tour. Thank you!

I wouldn't want to stay out on the Lido for visiting Venice.

But maybe it wouldn't be so bad since I assume the tour company would arrange for getting you there and back each day?

You must stay at the hotel fourtyseven in Rome. It is very nice, the perfect location- walking distance to everything important, has the brand new clean feel, and it's modern. I loved the desk staff that spoke english and were friendly. You will not regret it.
