Hotels in Oslo - August 8 - 10

​​​​​I'm trying to find hotel accommodations for my family of 5 (2 adults, 3 teenage boys) for 2 nights in August. (8/8- 8/10/2025). We would like to be close to the many city center sights. There must be something going on in the city this weekend because most hotels are sold out already. It would be nice if they also provided an excellent breakfast. Hotel, apartment or family type room are all options.

If you had to choose between these 3 hotels which one would you choose? Why or why not? I can reserve 2 rooms to accommodate us.

I cannot comment on hotels you listed as I prefer boutique hotels over a chain.

Not sure how you're reseaching (i.e. via a booking site). As such, keep one thing in mind that some places may not release their availability for Summer 2025 until Winter or even early Spring 2025. Or they have not released their availability to booking sites if that is how your're looking. You may want to reach out to hotels you're interested in directly to see when they may be updating or are truly sold out.

Be mindful that this time of year, smaller hotels may be taking a vacation themselves and may not check messages until closer to Christmas season.

When in doubt, Google your dates and events in/around city. That should tell you there is something already in works to cause places to be sold out 10 months in advance. You may need to adjust your travel dates if that is the case.

It looks like there's a large music festival then.
