Hotels In Budapest

Hi Everyone!

It's going to be my first time visiting Budapest this November. Is there any hotels or accommodations you guys can recommend to me?

Thanks!

I sure can - it's the Buda B&B (http://www.budabab.com/index.htm), a wonderful place run by two American guys who've lived in Budapest for a number of years, and even wrote the Frommers Guide Book to Budapest.

I'm in the middle of posting my trip report on my July trip which included Budapest. I did a more detailed review of the B&B there. It's at http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=35152085

Michael--We booked the Bellevue for several nights in October and are hoping for a quiet room. Did you enjoy the location? This is our first visit to Budapest so we were not sure about the ideal location.

The location is definitely quiet. I considered it very convenient, within 10 minutes of tram and subway lines. But it is a walk uphill from the transportation hub by the river.

We stayed at the Marriott (Pest side). Booked it on Priceline and got a very reasonable price. It was convenient to walk to the tram and subway stops, lots of restaurants etc.

We loved our stay here: http://www.victoria.hu/

We had a corner room on one of the higher floors....incredible views! We ended every evening in front of the windows with a glass of wine in hand!

We will be staying at Hotel Pest which is close to the Opera House and just off of Andrassy.

You can check out the hotels on tripadvisor.

I loved the K&K Opera Hotel on the Pest side. The rooms were great, the breakfast buffet was excellent, they have free computer use and the staff did everything they could to make sure our trip went smoothly. Plus, you are right in the middle of everything. If you're a walker, pretty much everything is no more then a 30 minute walk. If not, the public transport system is close by and easy to use. BTW, We got a wonderful price by finding the hotel when they were running an early Spring rate. Maybe they have one for Autumn.

We stayed at the Budapest Marriott from June 25-28, 2008. It is located next to the Danube and within walking distance of the Vaci Utca and St. Istvan's Cathedral. Our room had a magnificent view of Castle Hill and the Chain Bridge especially at night when they are all lit up.
