Hotels for Oktoberfest - Munich

Has anyone ever stayed at any of the following hotels for Oktoberfest?: Renaissance, Marriott, Hilton Munich City, Hilton Munich Park Hotel Trying to find the closest and best of those. Using points, so those are our options. Thanks for your help!

I stayed at the Marriott Courtyard using points during Oktoberfest. Nice hotel (but no "views") in a convenient location between the Alstadt and the Oktoberfest grounds.

Hilton Munich City. Well-located for public transport as it sits directly over, and has an internal stairway down to, the RosenheimerPlatz S/U Bahn station.

The closest??? you mean to the fest grounds?

Also stayed at Courtyard using points, very convenient. Have also stayed outside of city (Ingoltadt, about 1 hr by train north)with rooms at a significantly more reasonable rate.
Train was packed but had a great party on the return train ride to Ingolstadt with other locals.

cmlyons,
We've stayed at the Freising Marriott and took the Sbahn to Munich, and the festival grounds. That Marriott is on a hill above the downtown area, a short 5 minute walk. Freising is a lovely town with a festival of its own that ends just before Oktoberfest. Oh the station is about a 15 min walk from the hotel though.

Huggy,
That's funny! We stayed in Großmehring (near Ingoltadt) and also had the post Oktoberfest party on the train to Ingoltadt.
