Hotel/Chambre d'Hote suggestions in Provence?
3 couples (60's) will be spending a week together in Provence in early Sept., following a river cruise, and I'm chief travel agent! We plan on renting cars so we can make day trips, and it looks like we'll be picking a place in the Chateauneuf de Pape area for a few days and the Luberon area for the remainder of the week. Any suggestions for "hub" towns and hotels/chambres d'hotes in same will be much appreciated.

We have been satisfied with any accommodations with a rating of two "ears of corn" or above.

Try Kevin's place. He is a frequent contributor here & has a charming B&B in the Luberon. He is from the US and his wife is French. Excellent "tour guide" also.

Favorite fiction or non-fiction books that take place in or are about the French Riviera or Provence
